Kyle Leland Bernbach

Owner, LMT, RYT

Kyle Leland Bernbach, LMT (he/him) is defined by my passion to bring massage, mindfulness, and somatic care to the people. I have crafted a keen eye for assessing, understanding and treating human movement, having had extensive careers in both professional dance and yoga instruction prior to becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2017.

I take an evidence-informed, client-centered approach to massage and use mindfulness-based somatic practices to foster a greater sense of agency for my clients and a deeper connection with their body. I believe that this felt sense of recognition and volition, which he calls embodiment, is how profound healing takes root for those in his care.

I blend a wide range of both biomedical and Eastern modalities to facilitate this felt sense of being- Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Prenatal, Facilitated Stretching, Thai, Shiatsu, Tui Na, Yoga Asana, and Meditation are some of my most utilized. My work aims to empower my clients and to make human touch and human movement accessible, approachable, exciting forms of healthcare and holistic wellness.

I proudly graduated with honors from Cortiva Institute in Seattle, WA and pursued more knowledge at Pacific College of Health and Science right here in NY state. My yoga lineage draws from both Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and T.K.V. Desikachar and is bolstered by many contemporary scholars, professionals and practitioners.

I enjoy exploring human movement in the laboratory of my own body and find many ways to stay in motion; Dance, yoga asana, running, biking, hiking, weightlifting, and calisthenic training are some of my favorites. I am also an avid healthcare researcher and can usually be found pouring over books, articles, and research papers of all kinds in my enduring pursuit of applicable knowledge to bring to my clients and communities.
